On December 16, 2011 Dean asked Danielle if she would spend the rest of her life as his wife.  This was no normal proposal, it came with a condition.  If she were to accept she was also committing to living on a sail boat for at least one year and sailing as far as the two could go.

This website chronicles the story of the commitments Danielle and Dean have made to each other and their adventures as a team.

Sidenote: Dean got his idea for this proposal from a book called “Sailing Promise: Around the World on a Catamaran” by Alayne Main.  For our families, we recommend reading the book to get an idea of the challenges we expect to face and learn a little more about our goal.
